It’s getting late but wanted to post at least something… I’m working with Paradigm Project and recently spent some time living and cooking in a hut, specifically documenting the challenges presented by cooking over a three stone fire…for now, here’s an image of our Kenyan kitchen:

Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.
I’m currently in Kenya working with Paradigm Project. Paradigm is a group that is currently focusing on getting wood efficient stoves into the hands of the families that need them. But why stoves? Why is that so important? In a few hours, I leave Nairobi to head a bit north to Meru… there me and one of their directors, Greg Spencer, will be living in a hut for 5 days in hopes to answer that question.
Our goal is pretty simple… we plan to embed ourselves in this community to really paint a clear picture of what it’s like to live in these harsh conditions. We’ll be collecting our own firewood, fetching our water, and as the people in this area do, we’ll be living on less than $2.50 USD a day… Statistics show that living in a hut that uses a traditional open fire for cooking is equivalent to to smoking 40 cigarettes in a day… so we’ll be experiencing (and documenting) that reality, along with other challenges associated with this life.
I am super pumped about this rich and rare cultural experience we’ll have, all that we will learn, the relationships we’ll build and the powerful piece that will come out of it. Will be back with updates in 5 days.
Here’s January desktop (this one actually is only slightly late!)
It’s from a few nights ago from my apartment in Dallas. The sky this time of year is incredible, night after night.
Creation cries out His Glory.

Here’s December desktop (slightly extremely late)
it takes me awhile to settle on an image that I think can work well as a desktop. This one comes from Ghana when I was there with Videre.
We were in Cape Coast, and this frame was shot from a castle right on the water. Enjoy!

Check out this clip that I shot in southern Uganda with GoPro Camera… Ryan Booth used it in a quick piece he put together for Advent Conspiracy…
