No, not at all! This is designed as a luxury safari where we help guests get better iPhone photographs of their experience along the way. Some guests will shoot all day; some will mostly watch elephants with a coffee in hand. Both are doing it right. If you want to grow, you’ll be shooting next to three working photographers for ten days — you’ll grow.

Bring whatever iPhone you have. If history repeats itself, new iPhones will release a couple weeks before our adventure, so if you upgrade, you’ll have it in hand for the trip. Austin will help you set it up for safari shooting on day one.

Guests ask me all the time what the best camera is to bring on safari, and more often than not I recommend the iPhone. A safari is an immersive experience, and the iPhone is dynamic and capable enough to keep up without asking you to invest time and money in a bag of gear.

There are moments when a giant safari lens would be useful, but most of the time it’s unnecessary. And when you do want reach, your iPhone clicks onto the Swarovski scopes we bring for everyone.

It’s incredibly capable, easy to use, and lets you capture beautiful images without getting weighed down by gear or distracted by complicated settings. The goal is to come home with great photographs while still being fully present for this amazing experience.

Yes. Travel medical and emergency evacuation coverage are required for every guest. You’ll be traveling with experienced teams and staying in carefully selected camps, but we believe being fully prepared is an important part of traveling well. This coverage ensures that, in the unlikely event you need medical care or evacuation, you have access to the right support without delay.

A 40% deposit confirms your seat ($11,520 single / $10,520 per person for two). The remaining 60% is due 60 days before departure. Payments are non-refundable — that’s what the trip-cancellation insurance is for.

Nearly everything on the ground is included: accommodations, flights within the itinerary, park and conservancy fees, meals and drinks, guides, daily laundry, all gratuities, and planned experiences.
